SRINAGAR: Two persons, including a polling official, were injured today when their vehicle hit a wall after coming under stone pelting at the end of voting in downtown city here, police said.
The vehicle carrying polling staff came under stone pelting by some youth at Zaindar Mohalla area of Habbakadal constituency due to which the driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle hit a boundary wall, causing injuries to him and a polling official.
Both the injured were shifted to hospital, the spokesman said adding police immediately swung into action and chased away the stone-pelting mob.
The spokesman said reinforcements were rushed to the area to restore law and order.
