BANI: Two persons died on the spot while seven others got injured when a passenger tempo rolled down into a deep gorge at Bani area of Kathua District on Saturday.
The incident took place near Power House Sarthali, just 3Km from Bani resulting in death of two persons on the spot who were identified as Shakiil Butt (driver) resident of Sarthali and Haroom Malik, Junior Assistant resident of Bani. However seven other injured were taken to Sub District Hospital Bani. Injured were identified as Hans Raj, Chaju Ram, Naresh Kumar, Girdhari Lal, Shanty Devi and his minor child.
Police has registered a case for investigation. The cause of incident was yet to be ascertained.
