2 cops die, 6 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR: In a tragic road accident two police constables riding on bike met with a road accident near Phalata in Udhampur on Jammu Srinagar National Highway. Both the victims were on way to their native houses to celebrate Eid, report said.
While in two other road accidents, six persons including three Amarnath Yatris got injured near Chenani.
An Alto car bearing No. PB7AB-i0886 on its way to Punjab from Srinagar, fell into gorge near Chenani resulting in three Yatris getting injuries. All the injured were shifted to SDH Chenani from where they were further referred to GMC Jammu. Injured were identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Prem Chand, Kuldeep Singh son of Bal Singh and Sanjeev Kumar son of Habajan Singh all residents of district Hoshairpur (Punjab). While in another road accident three persons got injured while their car turned turtle on road near village Tajoor on Dhar Road. Victims were shifted to nearby PHC thereafter they were referred to District Hospital Udhampur. Injured were identified as Madan Lal son of Dhani Ram resident of Jaswal, Saranu Ram son of Buta Ram and Om Parkash son of Munshi Ram residents of village Tajoor. Rehmbal, Chenani, Majlata Police have registered the cases and launched the investigation.
