POONCH: Police on Saturday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing two bovines and arresting a smuggler.
According to a report, Police Poonch led by SI Samer laid a Naka at Puraani Poonch and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK12-7982.
During checking, the vehicle was found loaded with two bovines which were rescued. The driver identified as Mohd Rafiq son of Hassan Din residence of village Qazi Mohra, Tehsil Haveli District Poonch was arrested and a case vide FIR No 64/2016 under section 188RPC was registered against him at Police Station Poonch.
