JAMMU: The 19th Inter Central Power Sector Undertaking (ICPSUs) Table Tennis Tournament under the aegis of Power Sports Control Board (PSCB), Ministry of Power, Government of India from 12th to 15th February concluded at NHPC’s Chamera Power Station – I, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh with a prize distribution ceremony.
The tournament was conducted by Himachal Pradesh Table Tennis Association.
Ten teams from power sector i.e. Ministry of Power, Central Electricity Authority, Damodar Valley Corporation, POWERGRID, NEEPCO, SJVNL, PFC, BBMB, THDC and NHPC participated in the tournament.
POWERGRID dominated in all the three events i.e. Team, Doubles and Singles.
Felicitating the winners and participants during closing ceremony, Chief Guest, Balraj Joshi, Director (Technical), NHPC congratulated the winning teams and appreciated all players for their participation and sportsman spirit.
Trophies, medals and certificates were presented to the winners on behalf of Power Sports Control Board.
The results
Team: POWERGRID first, SJVNL second and BBMB third.
Doubles: J. Mukherjee and Charanjeet Singh of POWERGRID first, Inderesh of Ministry of Power and Naresh Chhibber of CEA second and Paramjit Singh and Navneet Gupta of BBMB third.
Individual: J. Mukherjee of POWERGRID first, Jeta Ukhal of SJVNL second and Ravi Chaudhary of POWERGRID third.
