19 crore sanctioned to police personnel in ten months

JAMMU: An amount of 19 crore rupees has been distributed under various welfare schemes among Jammu and Kashmir police personnel in the past ten months, Director General of State Police said today.
“During the past 10 months of this year, more than 19 crore rupees have been sanctioned and distributed under various welfare schemes among the police personnel,” Director General K Rajendra said.
He was speaking at the passing-out parade of the 12th batch of 522 recruits at the subsidiary training center in Talwara in Reasi district.
He said under the scheme, 715 jawans and officers whose properties were damaged in the recent floods were provided welfare loan of Rs 3.58 crores.
Rajendra while congratulating the pass-outs advised them to imbibe noble values of life while discharging their obligations.
He said the recruits must uphold the sanctity of law in keeping with traditions of Jammu and Kashmir Police and stressed upon the pass-outs to work with discipline, dedication and with regard to the expectations of the people and the police organisation.
He said honesty, integrity and impartiality should be the key ingredients for the cops to develop and improvise work culture in the police and to make it a model police organisation.

Rajendra told the recruits that now they were going to be deployed on various duties, including election duty, and added, “you have to perform your duties with utmost dedication and commitment and earn good name for the organisation.
