BHADARWAH: To show resentment over the killings of civilians in Kashmir Valley, a complete Bandh was observed in whole Chenab Valley.
The shops and other business establishments of particular community remained closed in Chenab Valley including Bhadarwah, Doda, Kishtwar,Chatroo, Thathri, Gath and Gandoh. However, traffic plied on the roads normally. Govt offices and banks also remained open.
Today’s Bandh call against alleged atrocities in Kashmir Valley on civilians since last more than one week was given by Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah, Seerat Committee Doda, Anjuman Islamia Gandoh , Markazi Majlis-e-Shoura Kishtwar and Masjid Committee Thathri.
At Bhadarwah, members of particular community observed complete shutdown and held a strong protest against the atrocities of security forces and continuous civilian killings in Kashmir.
“The atrocities against civilians by the security forces is increasing with each passing day. It seems that the Coalition Government is on a killing spree and Mehbooba Mufi is sprinkling salt on the wounds by shedding crocodile tears,” said Anjuman Islamia Bhadarwah President Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh. “To show solidarity with the suffering Kashmiri brotherns and to lodge our strong protest against the pathetic attitude of Sangh control government and inhuman acts of security forces,we have called for a peaceful Bandh,” he added. Meanwhile, after Friday prayers people also held a strong protest rally , which after passing through various markets raising slogans against Coalition Govt and Modi, besides raising pro-freedom and pro-Pakistan slogans culminated outside the Jamia Masjid Bhadarwah.
As precautionary measure, extra security deployment of para military forces, JKP and JKAP was made in all major parts of Chenab Valley but Bandh passed off peacefully and no untoward incident was reported from anywhere.
