18 CRPF officer trainees call on IGP Jammu

JAMMU: 18 DAGOs (Officer Trainee) of CRPF of 47th batch of different states of the country had a briefing session with Danesh Rana-IPS Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Jammu in his office chamber at Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu here on Wednesday.
During interaction, IGP Jammu Zone briefed the officer trainee with regard to the challenges being faced by police/security forces in view of militancy, crime and law and order front in the State.
On border management, IGP Jammu Zone gave them detailed briefing to the with regard to the issues emerged due to Ceasefire violation on International border (IB) and Line of Control (LOC) and problems being faced by the police /civil administration dealing the situation in border area.
He also briefed them about the steps which required to taken in wake of migration of people in border area due heavy shelling by Pakistan troops from across the border. The officer trainees were also apprised about the method being taken to strengthen the anti-infiltration grid on IB/LOC in five border districts of Jammu Zone. IGP Jammu Zone also appreciated the role being played by CRPF in law and order duties, static duties, ROP and anti militancy operation especially in Jammu and Kashmir and left wing extremist theatres.
IGP Jammu Zone, also briefed them about the new emerging challenges in the state particularly in Kashmir valley as well as in Jammu province in view of the recent militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley and radicalisation of youths into militancy.
Danesh Rana advised them to work with more dedication, devotion and in professional manner to tackle the emerging challenges being face by the police/security forces on account of militancy and law and order so that image of police/security forces is improved in the opinion of general public.
At the end of interaction/briefing session officers training presented a Memento to IGP Jammu Zone for sparing his valuable time and giving them valuable inputs in view of present security scenario of the State.
