Jindrah skaters organise anti drugs rally

JAMMU: On the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the skaters of the Roller Athlete Skating Club Jindrah under the leadership of international skater Krish Gupta organised a rally.
The rally was flagged off by Subah Mehta, Assistant Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in which more than 80 skaters from different schools along with common public participated.
Holding banners, placards, they demanded stern action against the use of drugs and illicit trafficking. The rally started from Satwari Chowk and culminated at MAM Stadium after passing through Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar, Gole Market, Bahu Plaza, University Road and Vinayak Bazaar.
Mehta exhorted upon the students to act as torch bearers against social evils like consumption of narcotic drugs, liquor, cigarette smoking among the society. She also appreciated the step and initiative of the Jindrah club.
Later she distributed the youngest participant
awards to Sachreet Kour, Pavit Singh, Nia Kohli, Samridhi Malhotra and Kyran Gupta. Prominent persons present in the rally were Kamal Anand, Ankush Kohli, Ramneesh Sharma, Arya Vir Singh Jamwal, Pardeep Singh Jamwal, Narinder Malhotra, Rajiv and Rajesh Gupta.
