41 bovines rescued, six arrested

RAJOURI: Police on Thursday rescued 41 bovines and arrested six smugglers in different Nakas at Rajouri District.
According to a report, Rajouri Police led by SHO Police Station Rajouri Inspr. Chaman Gorkha and In-Charge Police Post Chingus SI Mohd Rafiq during the intervening night of 23rd-24th June 2016, on a specific information laid Nakas at different locations i.e Muradpur, Salani Bridge, Kallar, Chingus, Rajouri. During Naka checking, police seized two Tata mobile vehicles (6298-JK01G and 1957-JK02AB) and rescued 14 bovines which were on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road without any permission.
Police arrested two bovine smugglers namely Rafaqit Hussain son of Mohd Sadiq resident of Tatripura, Pulwama and Naziqat Hussain son of Noor Hussain resident of Kharad Darhal. A case vide FIR Nos.407/2016, 408/2016 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Rajouri and.
Similarly, SHO Police Station Budhal Inspr. Ajay Singh Chib on intervening night of 23rd -24th June 2016 on a specific information laid a Naka at Budhal and rescued 13 bovines from the clutches of a smugglers which was taking them by foot Budhal to Srinagar Via Tragain without any permission.
The smuggler identified as Abdul Majid son of Mohd Bashir resident of Kandi was arrested and a case vide FIR No.20/2016, under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Budhal.
Meanwhile, In-Charge SHO Police Station Thanamandi SI Javed Khan on a specific information laid a Naka at Churung Bridge Thanamandi. During Naka checking police seized two Tata mobile vehicles bearing registration Nos. JK11-9889, JK11A-6160 and one Junga-9667-JK03C and rescued 14 bovines which were on its way from Thanamandi to Srinagar Via Mughal Road without any permission.
Three smugglers namely Mushtaq Ahmed son of Mohd Sharief resident of Nadia, Darhal , Ghulam Mustafa son of Abdul Gani resident of Potha, Kalakote and Ghulam Rasool Khan son of Mohd Amin Khan resident of Shopian were arrested and a case vide FIR No.104/2016, 105/2016 and 104/2016 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Thanamandi.
