SRINAGAR: State Congress Chief G.A Mir on Sunday cautioned the people about the false promises being made by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the sake of victory in the Anantnag by-elections and urged upon the people to defeat the PDP for facilitating the RSS establishment in the State.
Blaming PDP for using official machinery and other methods to influence the voters of Anantnag in order to ensure the victory of Mehoooba Mufti, PCC chief said that PDP is desperate about the outcome of elections results, for the fact it (PDP) has lost the people’s mandate due to its utter failure on all fronts.
Addressing the public meetings at Sarnal and Khanabal, he said PDP and BJP are conspiring to influence the voters of Anantnag by making false promise about their development and wellbeing, but the fact remains that people of the State are aware about what PDP has given to the people.
He felt confident that people of Anantnag will not forget the unfulfilled promises and tall claims made by the PDP earlier during their election campaign.
“The coalition partners have let down the people and never cared about their aspirations and emotions,” he said. Accusing PDP for not addressing the issues concerning people, Mir said that Congress Party shall make the government accountable, answerable to people and will seek the fulfillment of promises by the coalition partners.
Appealing people to vote for the Congress candidate Hilal Ahmad Shah, PCC chief said that it is the Congress Party alone that stands guarantee to overall development of the people.
