SAMBA: Four army personnel were killed while ten others injured in a road accident in Jammu-Pathankot National Highway in Samba District on Wednesday evening.
According to police sources, the army vehicle carrying armymen turned turtle after the driver lost control over steering on the highway near Satyam Palace in Jatwal area of Samba district.
The injured were rushed to Military Hospital in Maheshwar, Samba, where doctors declared four of them brought dead. The condition of some of the injured is said to be critical.
The ill fated vehicle was on the way from Pathankot to Jammu. As per report of PRO defence Manish Mehta, 4 armymen died and 10 others are injured.
The deceased were identified as Lance Naik Sanjay Kumar Rai, Lance Naik Murli Manohar Babu, Naik Abhishek and Sanjay Grotn whereas injured were identified as Hav Kamlesh Singh, Vikash Bakshi, Naik Sanjay Rai, Sepoy Vikesh Sharna, L/Naik Naresh Kumar, Naik Suryakant Gandhi, L/Naik Bharat Sudhiya, Sepoy Shankar Kumar, Sepoy Sanjay Chanakya and Sepoy Gamer Bsheik.
