JAMMU: Hundreds of traders of the Jammu West Constituency held a protest rally under the leadership of Sunil Dimple, President, Jammu West Assembly Movement, against the ERA PWD (R&B) and JMC authorities demanding CBI inquiry in the ongoing ERA, NBCC Sewerage projects.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple alleged that no development is taking place in the West Assembly Constituency. He alleged large scale bungling and scams worth crores of rupees in the ongoing projects and demanded a CBI Inquiry in all the ongoing works of the ERA, NBCC sewerage projects. He said that all the engineers, staff of the ERA, PWD (R&B), NBCC are hand in glove with the contractors of the companies and the public money is being lavishly used, wasted and siphoned off. Dimple alleged that ERA, NBCC and PWD (R&B) in connivance with each other have committed scam of Rs 142 corers. He said PHE pipes laying work by the ERA is at slow pace and all the roads of the constituency have been badly damaged. Dimple gave 10 days ultimatum to PWD, ERA and JMC for complete black topping of the roads of the constituency, otherwise Jammu West people will hold strong protest outside their offices, Dimple threatened.
Those present in the protest were Neraj Gupta, Amit Gupta, R P Kohli, Ramesh Chander Kohli, Anmol Kumar, S Kalian Singh, Vikram Suny, Rang Pal Gupta, Sudhier Pardan, Mintoo Kumar, Balak Ram Gupta, Ravi Gupta, Jawar Lal Suri, Sardari Lal Gupta, Rajiev Gupta, Som Dut Magotra, Bitoo Kumar, Rashi Mahjan, Shashi Dogra, Sunita Devi, Poonam Gupta, and others.
