KATHUA: A two-day Mega placement drive under Project UDAAN of Govt. of India in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) concluded on Friday at Government Degree College Kathua.
The corporate houses which include Shristi Infrastructure, IL and FS, IMS Health, Orion Security Solutions Manpower Services, Multicare Services, SEBIZ, Mount Talent Counselling , Reliance HR Services and Sehaj e Village etc. , selected 170 candidates after conducting interviews of the registered unemployed graduates and post graduates of district Kathua.
The selected candidates will now undergo a skill training programme for a period of 3-6 months by the employer at places like Delhi, Bangalore, Gurgaon etc. After completion of training they will be given jobs in the company with a salary package of 1.8- 3 lakh per annum.
Principal Dr. B. L Gupta thanked the NSDC and UDAAN Strategic Project team member Anisha Pandita and corporate houses for providing employment opportunity to unemployed youth of district Kathua.
Principal of the College Dr. B.L Gupta congratulated those selected during the placement drive and wished them good luck in all their future endeavours.
Prof. Parveen Sharma Co-ordinator UDAAN GDC Kathua thanked NSDC authorities for choosing the venue of GDC Kathua. The placement drive was organised under the supervision of Dr. B.L upta, Principal of the College and was co-ordinated by Prof. Parveen Sharma Co-ordinator UDAAN GDC Kathua.
