17 Govt officials found absent, salary withheld

BHADARWAH: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Bhadarwah has ordered the withholding of salary of 17 officials of School Education and Health Department on Tuesday who were found absent from their duties without any valid reason.
In all 14 teachers, including one senior lecturer, five masters and eight teachers, were yet to report to duty since the opening of schools on 1st March.
A total of three of the paramedics, including one male Multipurpose Health Worker (MMPHW) and two health educators were also found absent from their duty.
The teachers were found absent during surprise checks by SDM and Tehsildar Bhadarwah in Government Higher Secondary Schools Boys and Girls Bhadarwah, Higher Secondary School Sartingal, Middle School Mandir and Lower High School Nagar on Monday.
The paramedics were found absent from Primary Health Center Sartingal and Old Hospital Bhadarwah.
Taking serious cognisance of the absentee officials, SDM Bhadarwah Mohd Anwar Banday today ordered an enquiry and asked Tehsildar Bhadarwah to submit the report within two weeks and also withholding of their salaries under number SDM/PA/15-16/2863-71 with immediate effect.
The absentee teaching staff include Senior Lecturer Mohd Aslam Khan and Rakesh , Raja Ramiz, Seema Naaz, Salochna Devi, Laila Kouser (All Masters) and Riaz Salma, Shafqat Hussain, Shafqat Ara, Rukhsana, Saima Moughal, Samar Anjum, Neetu Suman and Rosy Bhagat (all Teachers).
