KATRA: Police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler and recovered 750 grams poppy straw from his possession.
As per the details, a police team headed by SI Mohd Ashraf, In-Charge Police Station Katra acting on a specific input, laid Naka at Ambika Chowk Katra and during checking, police recovered 750 gms of poppy straw (Bhuki) from the possession of Pawan Kumar son of Jagdish Kumar resident of Dehari Tehsil Ramnagar district Udhampur.
The accused person has been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 85/2016 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra.
