SRINAGAR: State baseball player, Rouf Ahmad Sofi of district Ganderbal in Kashmir has been selected in the Indian team for the upcoming ‘Robur 58’ International Baseball Series during the three-day selection trials held at Chandigarh recently under the banner of Amateur Baseball Federation of India.
The event is scheduled to be held at Apeldoorn in Netherlands (Holland) from 12th to 17th July, a handout issued by the J and K Baseball Association. Rouf has already represented the state for four times in the Senior National Baseball Championship.
Furthermore, General Secretary of the J and K Basketball Association, Fida Hussain Fidvi has been nominated as head of the Indian delegation during the said tour to Netherlands by the Amateur Baseball Federation of India.
