JAMMU: Five days after Sepoy Kishori Lal Rathori of 175 Engineer Regiment (TA Bn) was cremated with full military honors, Minister of State (MOS) Transport Sunil Sharma visited his family in native village Dharbshala.
During his brief stay at the residence of martyred solider who laid down his life on Saturday while carrying out the resuscitation of the anti-infiltration obstacle system in Macchal Sector Sunil Sharma offered condolences to the bereaved family members.
Ironically, the State Information Department instead of releasing picture of Minister with the bereaved family members released pictures of minister climbing down the stairs of the residence of army Jawan. In the picture minister is seen sharing a smile with a local villager who had accompanied him to the residence of the army jawan.
Kishori Lal is survived by his aged parents and four sisters.
None of the local politicians had attended the cremation ceremony of the brave soldier. Senior army officers of local Rashtriya Rifles unit and district officers and police men including SSP attended the last rites and paid rich tributes to the soldier.
