REASI: Police on Saturday foiled a bovine smuggling bids by rescuing 122 bovines and arresting 15 smugglers.
According to a report, a specific information was received at Police Station Reasi through reliable source that some persons are on way along with bovines towards village Devi Garh. On this, a police team led by Mohan Lal Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi along with Inspector Dileep Singh, SHO Police Station Reasi rescued 12 bovines from the possession of three accused persons namely Mohd. Younis, Mohd Mansha and Suleeman all residents of Kanjali-Patta Tehsil Reasi. The accused persons have been arrested and a case vide FIR No. 72/2016 under section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Reasi.
Meanwhile,79 bovines were rescued from the clutches of eight bovine smugglers namely Raiz Ahmed son of Gh. Mohd. resident of Qaziqund, Ali Mohd. son of Illem Din resident of Verinag, Muneer Ahmed son of Shamas Din resident of Ramban, Javed Ahmed son of Gh. Mohd. Dhangri resident of Kokernag, Mohd. Khaliq son of Gh. Mohd. resident of Miran Sahib, Shah Nawaz son of Mohd. Yousaf resident of Kokernag, Mohd. Abaas son of Ab. Latief resident of Banihal and Farooq Ahmed son of Gh. Hussain resident of Batote from four truck JK19/3014, JK03D/3107, JK02AD/1977 and PB11N/6232) from Ban Toll Plaza, NH and TCP Nagrota. Two cases vide FIR Nos 109/2016 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act and 110/2016 under section 188, 353, 332 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act were registered.Similarly, a party of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli rescued 31 bovines in from two trucks (PB06B -6434 and JKO2W -5171) and four smugglers Mohd Naseem (driver) son of Kala Khan resident of Kansi Patta Reasi, Jevan Massi son of Khursheed Massi resident of Deena Nagar Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmed (driver) son of Bashir Ahmedd resident of Udhampur and Arshid Ali son of Bashir Ahmedd resident of Kheri Bishnah.A case vide FIR No.57/2016 under section 188 RPC 3/5 PCA was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
