Tribal, SC childrens’ theatre workshop concludes

REASI: Ten days tribal and SC children’s theatre workshop concluded at Govt. High School Talwara on Thursday.
The workshop was organised by Sangam Theatre Group Reasi with help of J and K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Jammu. Mohd Rafiq Sarpanch Kheral was the Chief Guest on the concluded function, while Onkar Singh Thakur Headmaster presided over the function. About 50 students including boys and girls participated in the workshop.
On the concluding day a play ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ was performed by the participants.
The experts of the workshop were Shadab Khan, Anil K. Bharti, Bodh Raj Menia, Anam Khan, Rajesh Ajnabi , Akram Khan and Rohit Kumar who covered all the elementary knowledge of theatre viz direction, writing of play scripts, designing of play, acting, stage art and crafts, confidences, set designing, body movements and other aspects of the drama.
M. Akram Khan Director Sangram Theatre Group spoke on the occasion that the Sangram Theatre Group would provide platform time to time for the budding talent to fly high in the field of theatre, art, music and dance. Headmaster Onkar Singh Thakur on his concluding remarks said that the aim at showcasing the cultural heritage of the region and traditional form of cultural performance was beautifully presented by the participants artists.
