KISHTWAR: A Youth Congress convention was held in Kishtwar on Wednesday in which large number of youth activist participated. PYC President Pranav Shagotra presided over the convention and MLA Inderwal G.M Saroori was the Chief Guest.
While addressing the youth activists, Saroori took a dig at BJP-PDP Coalition Govt for deplorable condition of Batote Kishtwar Road leading to frequently deaths. Charging present State and Central Govt for its utter failure in addressing the woes and problems of people living in remote areas, he alleged that unemployment has been a major problem in this hinterland and present regime is willfully ignoring this urgent issue adding, contractual workers, daily wagers, Anganwari workers and ReT teachers are on roads due to apathy shown by present government towards them. He further claimed that BJP-PDP combine has failed on all fronts and was unable to even provide basic amenities to general public including provision of adequate ration, supply of drinking water, health and power.In his address PYC Chief Pranav Shagotra made a scathing attack on BJP PDP coalition for duping the hapless people of State by their false promises made during elections. He said people of this far flung areas are not provided with adequate and timely ration as food grains are not grown in this part of State commensurately to its need so, this Govt by not providing timely ration was infact wreaking havoc and it is inhuman act on their part. But Youth Congress and its activists would not take it lying low rather would oppose this government for its oppressive and anti people policies, he said and exhorted Pradesh Youth Congress activist to fan out in nook and corner and highlight the issues concerning general public and expose BJP PDP as this Coalition Govt is master in double speak. He advised activists not to rest until people are freed from clutches of this Govt. Those who were present on the occasion-Rajvir Singh PYC GS, Balbir Singh PYC Secy and Rashid Malik LYC Vice President, Rashid Latif, Majeed Rahi, Waseem Raja, Waseem Saroori, Wassem Makker, Firdous Mingnoo, Suman Bhandari, Randeep Bhandari, Jatin Manhas, Mehran Anjum Mir and Amir Saroori.
