166th Income Tax Day celebrated in Jammu in presence of DGIT Investigation

JAMMU: The Director General of Income Tax (DGIT) , North West Region, Vatsala Jha, on Thursday graced the Income Tax Office of the Investigation Wing at Jammu to celebrate the 166th Income Tax Day.

With the jurisdiction of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, Vatsala Jha gave the message of honesty, commitment, integrity and efficiency to the officers of the Income Tax Department.
The officers were directed to uphold the principles of taxpayer service and facilitation with a focus on expansion of tax base in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Principal Director of Income Tax (Inv.), Ludhiana Dr. Ashish Abrol, and The Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (Central), Ludhiana Md. Tarique Kalim, were also present and encouraged the officers to administer the Income Tax Act in fair and transparent manner.
Addl Director of Jammu Investigation, Anand Swaroop and Deputy Director of Jammu Investigation was also present at the venue.
