UDHAMPUR: Army Public School (APS) Udhampur lifted Northern Command Inter School Hockey Tournament titles both in girls and boys category.
The tournament, inaugurated by Col A.K Sharma, Director Army Welfare Education Society, was held at Army Public School Udhampur which was contested amongst Army Public School teams from Dhar Road, Nagrota, Akhnoor and Udhampur, Defence Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, S.D Goswami said.
Vaishali was adjudged best player from the Girls team and Shamsher Singh was adjudged the best player from the Boys.
At the closure ceremony, PRO Defence said, Col G.C Chundawat, Northern Command gave away the prizes and the certificates of appreciation to the winners.
Speaking on the occasion Sanjeev Kumar, Principal APS Udhampur stressed upon the importance of sports and games.
