BHADARWAH: Property worth thousands was gutted in a mysterious fire that razed JKPCC shed completely at a construction site in Post Graduate College Bhadarwah this afternoon.
The fire, which started at 3:45 PM on Saturday, destroyed most of the wooden doors, window panels and other construction material dumped in the shed for construction purposes.
Fire tenders reached the spot at 4:00 PM and immediately started the operation to douse the fire, which was spreading very rapidly as the JKPCC shed was filled with construction material mostly made of dry cedar and pine wood.
” Fire tenders reached the spot immediately. We tried our best to save the property, although we managed to extinguish the fire within half an hour but the material inside the shed was mostly made of dry wood including beams, wooden panels, doors and windows that got damaged in the devastating fire,” said incharge Fire Services Bhadarwah Zakir Hussain Butt.
