JAMMU: Due to non-serious attitude of State Government and concerned department, Patwari of Jammu province intensified their ongoing strike and began divisional level strike demanding registration of an FIR against MLA R S Pura.
A large number of Patwaris under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association today assembled in front of the Office of Deputy Commissioner Jammu and raised slogans against MLA R S Pura Gagan Bhagat for manhandling of Patwari Halqa Salehar Rakesh Kumar.
The protesters are demanding registration of FIR against said MLA.
The protesters stated that on Monday protest demonstration was held at SDM South Office and before this on Saturday the protest was held at Tehsil Headquarters Bishnah. Although Tehsildar Bishnah on Saturday directed SHO Arnia for lodging FIR against culprits but till now no action has been taken so far, they added.
The association has decided to go for an indefinite State level strike if action is not taken in this regard at the earliest.
