RAJOURI: Police on Tuesday rescued 16 bovines and arrested a smuggler in different Nakas at Rajouri district.
According to a report, Rajouri Police led by In-Charge Police Post Chingus SI Mohd Rafiq during the intervening night of 27th 28th June 2016 on a specific information laid Nakas at NHW Narian. During Naka checking, police seized two Tata mobiles (JK02AC-4752 and JK02AL-1149) and rescued 12 bovines which were on its way from Rajouri to Srinagar via Thanamandi-Mughal Road without any permission. However, bovine smugglers fled away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness.
Similarly, In-Charge Police Post City SI Mohd Fareed during the intervening night of 27th-28th June 2016 on a specific information laid Naka at Nagesh Bridge. During Naka checking police seized a TATA mobile (7489-JK02AJ) and rescued four bovines loaded in the vehicle.
Police arrested the bovine Smuggler namely Zaffar Hussain son of Mohd Sharief resident of Ninagnar, Rajouri.
A case vide FIR Nos.419/2016, 420/2016 and 421/2016, under section 188 RPC, 3 PCA was registered at Police Station Rajouri.
