ing its efforts against illegal encroachments in the district on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Thakrakote tightening noose on encroachers swung into action and retrieved 1599 Kanals and 15 Marlas of State Land from encroachers who had illegally encroached upon it since long.
Ravinder Kumar categorically directed all the Revenue officers in the district to remove all encroachments on State Kahcharai and common lands and further directed to remain vigilant against such encroachments in near future.
Tehsildar Thakrakote stated that he sought a report from Naib Tehsildar Thakrakote who after conducting proper enquiry and scrutiny of relevant revenue records submitted a detailed factual report regarding encroachments and illegal entries in the revenue record. Based on the recommendations of the field staff and after providing opportunities of being heard to all encroachers, Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Thakrakote in exercise of powers vested in him under section 133 of Land Revenue Act passed orders to evict all the encroachers who have illegally encroached upon the State land and further directed filed staff to remove illegal entries from the revenue records. Tehsildar further instructed the field staff to remain vigilant in their respective areas and report immediately in case of encroachments found if any on State, Kahcharai or common lands. It is pertinent to mention here that Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Thakrakote has been awarded Certificate of Honour by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi on the eve of Independence Day 2016 for his exemplary and estimable services including removal of encroachments on 8,737 Kanals of State, Kahcharai and common land besides achieving various other targets like almost 100 percent seeding of Aadaar Cards and 100 percent progress under NFSA, collection of more than one lakh rupees donations under Red Cross and updation and binding of all revenue records of Tehsil Thakrakote and conduct of various Public Grievances Redressal Camps in far flung and hilly areas of the Tehsil. Local inhabitants highly appreciated and cherished the efforts and timely action by Deputy Commissioner Reasi Ravinder Kumar and Tehsildar Rajesh Baru in all administrative affairs and in providing good governance at grass root level in the Tehsil.
