JAMMU: A delegation of BBIA led by its President, Lalit Mahajan met Commissioner/Secretary CAPD, Saurabh Bhagat and discussed various issues related to the CAPD Department.
The delegation discussed decontrolling the prices of processed/pasteurised milk as the same was not covered under the Essential Commodities Act of Govt. of India, pending payments of flour mill owners for supply of empty bags in 2009 and the grinding charges for the relief material since 2014, equal distribution of wheat for grinding on the basis of capacity of the units etc.
The Commissioner Secretary CAPD assured the delegation that he would resolve the issues on priority basis and directed the concerned officials present in the meeting to take immediate steps in this regard.
The delegation comprised of General Secretary BBIA, Ajay Langer and industrial unit holders from Bari Brahmana and Kashmir.
