Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament Sidhra B Leopards, Sidhra Scorpions, Sagoon Kings XI win ties

BAJALTA: Sidhra B Leopards on Monday defeated Pounthal Fighters while Sidhra Scorpions defeated Ragoora Youngstars and Sagoon Kings XI won match against Rabta Scorpions in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Winning the toss at Bajalta playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Sidhra B Leopards decided to bat first and put a target of 105 runs in prescribed 14 overs.
Pounthal Fighters failed to chase the target and scored 95 runs in prescribed 14 overs after losing eight wickets thus losing the match by ten runs.
Captain of Sidhra B Leopards Imran Rashid was declared Man of the Match for his 20 runs and one wicket.
The Second match of Group A was played between Sidhra Scorpions and Ragoora Youngstars. Winning the toss Ragoora Youngstars elected to bat first and was bowled out for 72 runs in 13.1 overs. Sidhra Scorpions comfortably chased the target in seven overs after losing one wicket only.
Salman scored 34, Zakir 24 and remained not out. Faisel for taking three wickets was declared Man of the Match.
The third match of Group B was played between Rabta Scorpions and Sagoon Kings XI. Winning to toss Rabta scored 64 runs in prescribed 14 overs.
Sagoon Kings XI chased the target in 6.4 overs after losing two wickets only and won the match.
Rakesh was declared Man of the Match for his 23 runs and two wickets.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain and Madan Mohan from J and K Youth Services and Sports.
The scoring was done by Zulfikar Ahmed, Mohammed Gul and Suresh Singh.
Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Member Organising Committee.
