Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament STATE TIMES NEWS
BAJALTA: Nagola Knight Riders defeated Pounthal Chalana Rockets and Pargalta Friends won match against Panjgrain Phantoms in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana. Winning the toss at Bajalta playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Pounthal Chalana Rockets decided to bat first and managed to score 90 runs after losing eight wickets in prescribed 14 overs. Nagola Knight Riders managed to score 91 runs after losing five wickets in 11 overs thus won the match by five wickets.
Arun Jamwal of Nagola Knight Riders was declared Man of the Match for his all round performance of 19 runs and two wickets.
The second match was played between Pargalta Friends and Panjgrain Phantoms.
Winning the toss Panjgrain Phantoms decided to field first. Pargalta Friends managed to score 117 for 6 in stipulated 14 overs. Nikhal scored 36 runs, followed by Koushal with 29.
Panjgrain Phantoms failed to chase the target and managed to score 90 only in 13 overs after losing all wickets. Nikhil was declared Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadeeq Hussain and Madan Mohan from J and K Youth Services and Sports.
The scoring was done by Suresh Singh from J and K Youth Services and Sports.
Besides cricket lovers from Nagrota and Jammu the matches were witnessed by Sarpanch Nagola Ragubeer Singh. Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Member Organising Committee.
