R S PURA: One person was killed on the spot and two others were seriously injured when their motorcycle was hit by a rashly driven truck at Chouhala Turn, village Drabte on Tuesday.
According to report three brothers on their bike were going to condole the death of one of their relative when a truck bearing registration No JK02AS-5547 hit the motorcycle. One Chamel Singh son of Brita Ram resident of Gharana, RS Pura died on the spot while his two brothers namely Satpal Singh and Mohinder Pal were admitted in RS Pura Hospital.
The body of Chamel Singh was handed over to his family members by police after autopsy. The police have seized the truck and arrested its driver Jagdev Singh son of Bhajan Singh resident of Moosa Chak. A case has been registered by police for investigation.
Meanwhile, In two different road accidents, three persons including a SPO got critically injured in Udhampur locality.
According to a report, a car bearing No. JK14A-9774 on it’s way to Kud on reaching Samroli met with a road accident. In accident two persons got injured and were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur. Injured were identified as Many Singh son of Pritam Singh resident of Nagrota and Ajay Kumar son of Krishan Singh resident of Kishtwar.
While in another road accident, an SPO was hit by an unknown vehicle at police Naka in Udhampur. Injured SPO identified as Hari Krishan son of Badari Nathan resident of Krimachi in Udhampur was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur. On being serious he was further referred to GMC Jammu. Udhampur and Rehmbal Police have registered the cases and launched the investigation.
