Exhibition on Gandhiji inaugurated at Rajghat

Mahatma GandhiNew Delhi:- An exhibition on the life and thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi was inaugurated at Rajghat today on his 68th death anniversary.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Union Minister of State for Tourism Mahesh Sharma said that Mahatma Gandhi left behind his message of truth and non-violence which inspire crores of people.

“The life and philosophy of Gandhi will provide strength to the youth and guide them,” he wrote in the visitor’s book of the exhibition.

Minister of State for Urban Development Babul Supriyo and Sant Morari Bapu were present on the occasion.

The 25 panel exhibition, titled ‘Mohan Se Mahatma Tak’, displayed evolution of Gandhiji from a little ‘Monia’, his childhood name, to Mahatma, highlighting his experiences and struggles in South Africa and India.

A bust of Mahatma Gandhi designed by Anne Valerie Dupont was on display.

A nine-day discourse by Morari Bapu on ‘Manas Rajghat Katha’ interpreting the life, works and philosophy of Gandhiji on the lines of ‘Ramcharitmanas’ was also inaugurated by the ministers.

The function was organised by Rajghat Samadhi Samiti, under the Ministry of Urban Development.
