Social, political organisations celebrate Republic Day with enthusiasm

JAMMU: Various social and political organizations celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm by organizing various functions at their respective places.
Director General of Police, Prisons J&K, S.K Mishra hoisted the National Flag in District Jail, Jammu, at a function organized here.
On the occasion, Mishra greeted the jail inmates and also highlighted the importance of R-Day. A cultural programme was also organized by the jail inmates.
Later, Bara Khana was also organized for jail inmates.
Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha celebrated 67th Republic Day with great fervor. President of the Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma hoisted the National Flag.
Vice President, Verinder Magotra, Satya Paul Sahrma, Nanak Chand Sharma, ML Sharma, SD Sharma, PC Sharma, Surinder Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Shri Kerni, Jagannath Sharma, Chander Shekhar Sharma, Kuldeep Modi, Gurdas Sharma, Subash Shastri, SS Baru were also present.
BJP S C Morcha celebrated 67th Republic with great patriotism at Main Chowk Bohri in which Member Parliament, Shamsher Singh Manhas was the Chief Guest, who hoisted the National Flag. The programme was organized by the State President BJP SC Morcha, Surinder Bhagat.
H.R Manhas, Inderjeet Bakshi, Chand Bala, Din Dayal Sharma, Sham Lal, Mohan Singh, were also present on the occasion.
67th Republic Day was also celebrated at Sub Jail Hiranagar in which Superintendent Jail, Lazar Kandayaray unfurled the National Flag.
Cultural programme was also organized. A Bara Khana was also arranged for Jail inmates.
Joginder Singh Manhas, Chairman All India Manhas Maha Sabha hoisted the National Flag at Plaoura in the presence of prominent people of the area.
Indian National Trade Union Congress celebrated 67th Republic Day at Company Bagh, Jammu, under its State President, Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Assistant Executive Engineer, D.S Choudhary unfurled the National Flag.
Tawi Vihar Residents Welfare Association, Sidhara Jammu, celebrated 67th R-Day with great enthusiasm. On the occasion, Parvez Dewan unfurled the National Flag.
On the occasion, prizes were also distributed among the winners of Talent Hunt Programme which was held on 24th January, 2016.
Sarah, Sonika and Shabnam stood first, second and third respectively in the essay writing competition. Manu, Shivani and Muskan were stood as first second and third respectively in the slogan writing competition. Aasia Akhter, Prangika and Ishika were stood as first second and third respectively in the painting competition.
President of the Association, BS Thakur highlighted the achievements of the association. He expressed gratitude to HCCP Principal, Nisha Sharma for organizing Talent Hunt Programme.

All J and K Christian Forum celebrated Republic Day with great fervor in which Forum President Markes Gill unfurled the National Flag at Amphalla Chowk Jammu.

Jammu Cental Mahajan Sabha celebrated 67th Republic Day at a function organized here at Mahajan Bhawan Shalamar Road.
Vinod Gupta President of the Sabha along with Rajesh Gupta MLA Jammu East, Naresh Gupta MLC, Amar Nath Gupta Chief Patron, Om Parkash Gupta Vice President and Chander Mohan Gupta General Secretary, unfurled National Flag.
The cultural programme performed by the students of Dewan Devi School under the supervision of School Staff consisting of Rubi Sharma, Monika Rajput, Puspha Sharma, Sushma Dogra, Raman Kumar and Shiv Kumar.

67th Republic Day was celebrated at PTTI Vijaypur with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.

During the function, contingents of Police personnel/trainees held March Past. Exhibition of sports events like Mass P.T, Tug of War, Volley Ball Matches were also organised in which trainees of different courses/staff participated. A colourful cultural programme was also organised in which children of Government Middle School Thalori and staff/trainees of PTTI Vijaypur presented various cultural items, which enthralled the audience.
In the end, prize distribution function among the participants and other disciplines of the parade were also held.
On the eve of Republic Day-2016, Deputy Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Jahangir Hussain Mir hoisted Tricolor at an impressive function held at Meelaad Chowk near Pritam Park Poonch.

67th Republic day was celebrated at Civil Airport Jammu with fervor. Along with the staff of Airports Authority of India, all the Airlines, JKP and CRP personnel also participated in the celebration. The national flag was hoisted by the Airport Director Devendra Kumar Gautam.
Speaking on the occasion, D K Gautam briefed about the achievements during last six months and also narrated the future plans of expansion and modification of the existing terminal building. He reiterated the need of support from State Government for providing land for various development projects of Airport.
After the flag hoisting and message from the Airport Director, the prize distribution for the sports Activities held during the past week at the Airport was also done by Purshotam Kumar Mengi, Dy. SP JKP, Tushar Khandka Assistant Comdt. CRPF and by Priti Gautam, President Local unit of Kalyanmayee.
The function culminated after presentations by Ravinder Kumar, Manager AAI and Usha Kher, Inspector JKP.

He also distributed eatables and stationery to them provided by Nitin Jamwal a social worker of National Conference party. Others present apart from sudesh Pal Secretary of the Ashram were Dalbir Singh District Vice President NC Jammu Urban, Parbhat Kapayee, Somraj Taroch and Mohd Farooq Mughal.
Dr. Kamaal prayed for a bright future for these orphans and lauded the efforts of Nitin Jamwal in helping these destitutes from time to time and also other disadvantaged people of society. The inmates sang patriotic songs on the occasion under the guidance of Sudesh Pal.
A colourful function in connection with Republic Day celebration was organized at Bishnah, under the aegis of Dogra Sadar Sabha. The function was attended by prominent citizen, office bearers and members of the Sabha.
The National Flag was unfurled by Gambhir Dev Singh Charak on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Gambhir Dev Singh explained in detail about the unique freedom struggle under the leadership of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and the other Heroes who laid down their lives for bringing this auspicious day when the Constitution of the great Democratic Country was implemented.
Thanking the people for maintaining the perfect communal harmony, Gambhir appealed the people of Duggar Pradesh to be vigilant from the decisive forces, who are bent upon creating the wedge among the different religious and communities by exploiting the innocent people for their vested interest.

Salal Power Station celebrated 67th Republic Day with zeal and enthusiasm at Ramlila Ground Jyotipuram wherein employees, CISF Personnel, their family members, school children and locals participated in large number. A.G Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station was the Chief Guest who hoisted the National flag.
Cultural Programs presented by KV Students and Play-way School kids were liked by one and all. The program concluded with prize distribution and distribution of sweets.

Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan hoisted the National Flag at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium Biamathang, and took salute at an impressive March Past comprising of contingents of Jammu and Kashmir Police, NCC, Army and Civil Band Party and troupes of Government and private schools.
Despite immense cold and freezing temperature, thousands of People from the adjoining villages of Kargil gathered at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium Biamathang and celebrated the 67th Republic Day with patriotic fervor and gaiety.

On the occasion of 67th Republic Day, Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu unfurled the National flag at the Administrative Block at Baghala, Samba and Temporary Academic Block (TAB), Sainik Colony, Jammu.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Central University of Jammu organized various events on this occasion and the center of attraction was the Republic Day parade by NSS volunteers followed by the various cultural events like folk dance, Patriotic & solo songs, Poetry and skits. National Social Group celebrated 67th Republic Day at Sunrise Public School Channi Himmat Jammu with great fervor.
The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. Lovi Padha, Professor of Orthopedics with the school band playing the national anthem. Chairman of NSG Abhishek Padha also spoke on the occasion.
