UDHAMPUR: One person died while three others got injured while they were knocked down by a speeding car at Udhampur.
According to reports, a speeding car bearing No. JK15-3210 hit two passersby in Udhampur. Both the injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and were identified as Amit Jamwal son of Surinder Singh resident of Udhampur and other Liqat Rashid son of Farooq Ahmad Rashid resident of Srinagar. Condition of both the victims was stated to be stable. Udhampur Police has registered a case and launched the investigation.
SAMBA: One pedestrian died while another injured when an Indica (HP 19B-2350) which was on its way from Kathua to Jammu hit them on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Maheshwar (Samba) on Wednesday. On receiving the information, SHO Samba Sanjiv Chib along with team reached the spot and rushed both the injured to Government District Hospital Samba where the doctors declared one Rattano Devi (65) wife of late Ram Lal resident of Penthi (Samba) brought dead while other injured namely Ram Lal (45) son of Chuni Lal resident of Thalori (Vijaypur) was referred to GMC on being critical. Samba Police has registered the case for investigation.
The driver of the car was arrest and identified as Rakesh Kumar son of Udheyveer resident of Himachal Pradesh.
