JAMMU: Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua, GDC Paloura, GDC Mendhar and MAM College qualified for the semifinals of Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (M) Tournament 2015-16, organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu in campus ground, here on Thursday.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of the Prof. Dhian S. Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Prof. Shailendar Singh Jamwal, HoD, History was Chief Guest in today’s matches who interacted with all the quarterfinalist teams.
Among others present were Naryani Jamwal, Ayaz Malik, Romesh Sharma, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Amit Sharma, Jaswant, Amit Sharma and Rakesh Verma. Quarterfinals results: GDC Kathua beat GDC Hirananagr by 20 (40-20) points; GDC Paloura outplayed SPMR Commerce by 19 points; GDC Mendhar trounced GGM Science College by nine (24-15) points; MAM College downed PG Department by 11 ( 28-15) points.
Today’s matches were officiated by Ankush Chib, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Raki Sharma and Gagan Kumar.
