JAMMU: Concerned over frequency of road mishaps, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Vice president Ghulam Mohammad Saroori (MLA Inderwal) expressed extreme grief and sorrow over Friday’s tragic road accident in remote area of Udhampur that lead to loss of more than 12 lives.
Saroori, was grieved to know about the accident and has urged Governor N.N Vohra to take effective steps to check road accidents and pass the directions to the traffic department to take adequate and stringent measures to check the recurrence of road accidents. He also urged the Governor to provide adequate ex-gratia relief to the families of those who lost their lives.
He enjoined upon the district administration Udhampur to extend all possible assistance to those who got injured in the unfortunate accident.
In his condolence message, Saroori conveyed his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families in their hour of grief. He prayed for peace to the departed souls. He also wished speedy recovery to those who were injured in the accident.
