Jodhamal School holds workshop on gender sensitisation

JAMMU: CBSE organised a workshop on gender sensitisation in Jodhamal Public School for the teachers.
The CBSE Resource Person Dr Chand Trehan implored on the need to understand Gender and Decoding Basic Gender Specific Terminology, the need for gender sensitive classrooms, re-considering classroom dynamics, using gender sensitive language in classrooms, gender sensitive methodologies, use of gender cards to epitomise the change to be sought through and understand the need behind the gender sensitive pedagogical practices.
In all, 142 teachers of Jodhamal Public School participated in this workshop and had taken the lessons to be implemented at the school.
JMPS Faculty felt oriented and understood that, “We are society and we will bring the change”. The school management and the School Principal, Trilok Singh Bist presented the resource person with a memento as a token of gratitude.
Vice Principal, Monika Sethi took the team along in the learning process and felt that working as a team and getting such exposure at Jodhamal is honing up her potential too and thanked the management for their commitment to teacher’s capacity building and developing a good teacher into a quality teacher.
