THANNAMANDI: Principal, Government Degree College Thannamandi, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina on Thursday inaugurated 10-day Intra-College Sports Championship in the college.
Dr. Shakeel said that sport is an important component of education because it provides physical fitness physical fitness is necessary condition for good brains. He also wished great success of the championship.
PTI of the College, Ravi Kumar Pandita said that games cricket, volleyball, kabddi, table tennis, badminton, chess and carom shall be played during the championship. Prof Saleem Ajaz Rather presented vote of thanks.
Other prominent persons present at the occasion include Dr. Naim-Un-Nisa, Prof Junaid Jazib and Dr Abass Wani.
