NEW DELHI: Road Safety-Forum,2016 was held on Thursday under the Chairmanship of the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari at NDMC Convention Centre, near Jantar Mantar, Sansad Marg, New Delhi.
Bhumesh Sharma, an Road Safety expert has been hounored with National Award on Road Safety by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways,Govt.of India.
The award carries a citation, certificate and a cash award of Rs 20,000.
The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had proceesed the cases of 759 contestants who had submitted their testimonials along with video spots to the jury constituted by Ministry. The jury after screening of the scripts/video spots and other comparative evaluation of the same, selected for the National Award.
This is the second occasion when Bhumesh Sharma is being conferred with the prestigious National Award for his meritorious and hard work on road safety. His articles, Books, documentaries in the state as well as in the country were appreciated by all corners of the country. No other person from entire Northen region of the country has ever received such award from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Govt. of India.
