UDHAMPUR : On the basis of a specific information the Udhampur Police team raided a flour mill in Battal Ballian, Udhampur on Sunday and recovered huge quantity of CAPD ration bags containing wheat.
According to the information the counting of the bags was still in progress while the unconfirmed sources said that the counting had reached up to 131 bags of wheat.
The STATE TIMES tried to contact the DDC Udhampur and the Police authorities, but there was no response in spite of best efforts.
However there had been no arrest till receipt of last report. The sources alleged that there is a nexus between some officials and mill owners and the pilfering of the government ration has been going on unchecked though Vigilance has exposed time-to-time such bungling.
