KATHUA: Tightening noose over bovine smugglers in Kathua, Lakhanpur Police rescued 13 bovines which were found laden illegally in a truck and arrested driver and his associate.
As per details, a police team led by Insp. Sanjeev Chib SHO Police Station Lakhanpur while on Naka checking duty at Truck terminal Toll Plaza Lakhanpur, intercepted a Canter (UK04CA/4786) coming from Punjab. During checking of the vehicle, 13 bovines were found laden in it, which were rescued. The driver and his associate namely Akthar Ali, son of Asgar Ali, resident of Nanglia Tehsil and District Rampur (UP) and Rashid, son of Bashir, resident of Tanda Badli Tehsil Tanda District Rampur (UP) were arrested and a case vide FIR 110/2020 under Sections 188 of IPC & 11 of PC Act was registered against them.
