SAMBA: The sleuths of Excise Department on Saturday in a series of raids recovered 120 kg Lahan and 18 liters of illicit liquor from various villages of Samba District, which was later destroyed on the spot. According to reports, under the active supervision of the Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, the Excise Team Samba led by Susheel Kumar, Inspector Excise under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Samba Virender Singh Billawria raided Ramghar, Nandpur, Radhwa and adjoining areas of Vijaypur to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process more than 120 kilograms of Lahan and 18 litre of illicit liquor which is highly injurious to health was later destroyed by the team on spot.
