SAMBA: A meeting of District Task Force Committee was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Samba Mubarak Singh to clear the cases of Employment Generation Programme under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme of Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Khadi Village Industries Board (KVIB) and District Industries Centre (DIC).
During the meeting, 150 cases were examined, of which, 111 were cleared. It was further informed that out of 111 cases cleared by the Task Force Committee, 78 were sponsored by KVIC/KVIB, while 33 cases have been sponsored by DIC.
The DDC impressed upon the bankers to sanction the cases and release the credit in favour of entrepreneurs since the margin money is readily available with sponsoring agencies i.e Khadi Village Industries Commission, Khadi Village Industries Board and District Industries Centre.
He also emphasised the need for vigorous monitoring of the cases approved by the Task Force Committee so as to provide loans to the entrepreneurs and the margin money available as per the scheme to make the units functional and vibrant.
The DDC also reviewed the progress of sanctioning and releasing the margin money in favour of the cases sanctioned earlier and directed to clear the pending cases expeditiously.
Additional Deputy Development Commissioner Vivek Sharma, provided elaborate information about the summary revision and updation of electoral roll and advised the candidates to get the young voters registered and avail the Election Photo Identity Card, for larger participation in the democratic process.
Meeting was attended by ADDC Samba Vivek Sharma, Project Manager DIC Riaz, FM DIC, Rashi Dutta, AD Employment Vikram Sharma, DCO J&K Bank, and officers of KVIC and KVIB.
