SRINAGAR: According to Secretary, Horticulture, Sanjeev Verma, about 1,100 truckloads of fruit were dispatched to various mandies of the country today. This includes 350 trucks from Sopore and 701 trucks from Shopian Mandis.
The number is more than the corresponding date of last year.
He said Parimpora Mandi is functional and 40 to 50 trucks of fruits and vegetables are received daily there. Already an RO plant has been set up at the Mandi for providing safe drinking water.
Also four to five dewatering pumps have been installed to drain out water from the premises.
