BARAMULLA: As many as 103 villages of Baramulla Tehsil would be covered under the second phase of Census during which the biometrics of the individuals of every family would be conducted.
This was disclosed during a training programme of Supervisors and Enumerators at Dak Bungalow Baramulla on Wednesday.
The programme was aimed to provide necessary training to the concerned with regard to issuance of Adhaar Card to the people so that these could avail benefits from the Government Sponsored Schemes launched from time to time for their welfare.
The programme was attended by Assistant Director Census Ghulam Jeelani Khan, Tehsildar Baramulla, representatives of Electronics Corporation of India Ltd. and the venders from Chinar Constructions, besides Supervisors and Enumerators of Tehsil Baramulla.
Highlighting the importance of Adhaar Card, the speakers impressed upon the concerned for discharging their duties with full spirit ensuring correct name, address and photographs during the whole process of census. The concerned were also asked to ensure completion of the assigned job within the stipulated period.
