KATHUA: Sleuths of Excise Department on Tuesday held a series of raids at several areas falling in Kathua District and in the process recovered more than 1000 kilograms of Lahan and 30 bottles of illicit liquor, which was later destroyed.
According to report, Excise Team from Kathua led by Arun Kumar Inspector Excise, under the command of Excise and Taxation Officer, Excise Range Kathua, Sandeep Gupta and Excise and Taxation Officer, Eradication and Enforcement Wing Jammu Suresh Sharma raided the Jeerai and lower Saktachak areas of Kathua district and recovered more than 1000 kilograms of Lahan and 30 bottles of illicit liquor which was later destroyed by the team on spot. The entire operation was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem.
