JAMMU: MBA graduates of the 2015 Pass out batch at MIET achieved record of 100 per cent placements in top corporate houses in the recently concluded placement season.
A total of 65 placement offers were made to the eligible MBA students at MIET resulting in bulk of the students having two to three job offers. Companies which recruited MBA students from MIET included Accenture (Consulting), Mount Talent Consulting (HR), Adroit Financial Services, (Core Finance), ICICI Pru Life, DHFL Pramerica, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank, Kotak Commodities (Financial Services), Cease Fire Industries and Aircel with average salary package of Rs 2.25 lakh per annum. The maximum package was offered by DHFL Pramerica at Rs 3 lakh per annum plus incentives. While Accenture selected 19 students on a train and hire model, ICICI Pru recruited 15 students, Mount Talent Consulting recruited 14 students and Adroit Financial Services provided offer letters to 11 MBA students to emerge as the largest recruiters for the 2015 batch.
Brig. P.N Sharma, Head of Department of the MBA programme attributed the stellar performance of the students and the department to the implementation of the Skill Development Matrix for each student under which specific skills and training are provided to students in a phased programme. Another innovation which the department adopted was the introduction of the quality analytics software which provides deep insights into performance of each student including automatic generation of authenticated resumes of students. This was greatly appreciated by the visiting HR managers of recruiting companies.
