POUNI: Police on Friday destroyed 10 litres of Lahan and seized four litres Desi liquor from a house during a raid, however lady involved in illicit distillation managed to escape.
According to a report, on specific information, a team of police personnel headed by Inspector J.J Bhagat, SHO Police Station Pouni conducted a raid in the house of Jasveer Kour wife of late Gurcharan Singh at village Kheralaid and recovered of four litres of illicit Desi liquor and around 10 litres Lahan from her house. The accused lady Jasveer Kour managed to escape from the spot and efforts are on to nab her.
The recovered liquor has been seized and Lahan destroyed on the spot. A case vide FIR No. 50/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Pouni against the said lady.
