10 absentee ITI employees suspended

MENDHAR: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Mendhar, on Monday suspended 10 absentee employees of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Mendhar.
Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Mohammad Harun, SDM Mendhar, Thakur Sher Singh along with Tehsildar Mendhar, Ch. Salam Din conducted a surprise visit of the Institute and found ten employees viz. Deepak Sharma, Vacationer Instructed, Ibrahim Khan, Motor Mechanic Instructor, Shamim Akhter and Mohd Azad, Computer Instructors, Rubina Akhter, Fashion Technology Instructor, Shazia Chaudhary, Guest Faculty Math and Science, Shafqat Hussain, Welder Instructor, Jaswant Singh Sudan, Head Clerk, Mahroof Ahmed, Workshop Attendant and Umar Shehzad, Chowkidar, absent from duty.
Most of the trades, classrooms, workshops and laboratories were found closed and students wandering in the ITI premises.
“Most of the staff members posted at ITI Mendhar hardly attend their duties and remain absent most of the time, thus badly affecting the institution and students enrolled there”, the SDM observed while placing these employees under suspension for unauthorised absence from duty. Sher Singh has directed the Treasury Officer Mendhar against drawl of salary of the suspended employees and asked the Superintendent ITI Mendhar to charge-sheet the suspended employees besides submit a report regarding mismanagement of the Institute.
