KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested a person and recovered 40 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, acting on a specific input, a police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, SHO Police Station Katra laid a special Naka at Nomain. During Naka, police intercepted one Maruti (JK20/0205) driven by Suresh Kumar son of Kartar Chand resident of Panthal Katra and during checking/frisking, police recovered 40 pouches of J and K Excise liquor from the possession of Suresh Kumar. The accused person was arrested, vehicle was seized and a case vide FIR No. 117/2016 under section 48-A Excise Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra.
